Experience the healing power of

Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (M-HBOT).

Elevate your well-being with HBOT .

What is Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) involves the use of a specially designed soft shell, pressurized chamber to deliver increased oxygen to the body's tissues. Mild chambers in the United States are pressurized to a maximum of 1.3 ata / 4psi, allowing the oxygen to dissolve into the body's fluids at a higher level than normal atmospheric pressure. This increased oxygenation has a profound impact on various physiological processes, promoting healing, enhancing cognitive function, and improving overall well-being.

How Does HBOT Work?

Henry’s Law of Physics shows that “a gas subjected to an increase in air pressure will dissolve more easily in a given liquid.” This means Hyperbaric Therapy allows your body to absorb oxygen into all bodily fluids: blood plasma, lymphatic fluids as well as cerebral spinal fluids. Studies show this process stimulates the body's natural healing mechanisms, optimizes sleep, and boosts energy levels. The increased oxygenation also supports tissue repair, aids in athletic recovery, and enhances cognitive clarity.

The Safety of HBOT

Safety is of utmost importance when considering any therapeutic intervention. Our chamber is made in the USA by OxyHealth™, the leading designer and manufacturer of portable wellness hyperbaric chambers. OxyHealth™ chambers are engineered, and manufactured to ensure long-lasting functionality and exceed all required safety parameters. The chambers undergo stringent inspections and pre-delivery testing to provide users with the best safety features, providing peace of mind and ensuring a safe and effective HBOT experience. Our chamber is operated by trained personnel, and during your first visit we take extra time to walk you through the process.

Currently we are not using supplemental oxygen via cannula or mask in sessions. The benefits of HBOT come from the pressure (remember Henry’s Law), thus the oxygen from the concentrator is called “supplemental” because it is just that. Generally, we are breathing about 21% oxygen. In a mild chamber, that percentage increases to 90-93%. Supplemental oxygen increases that percentage to 93-95%, so the difference is minimal. When we are able, we will resume the supplemental oxygen at no additional charge.

Repeated Use of HBOT for Optimal Health Benefits

It has been well documented that the anti-oxidant and protective role of HBOT is immediate and
demonstrated within 24 hours of just one hyperbaric session. Just one session can begin to Improve
cellular energy and optimize tissue functioning. Inflammatory markers can go down considerably and mark the beginning of a natural repair process.

Further, the anti-inflammatory response is also accelerated, and a strong physiological response has been shown within four days of hyperbaric therapy. Many studies have reported HBOT to produce a strong pain-relieving effect after just five to ten sessions and show that there can benefit from multiple sessions clustered together.

Some clients come to HBOT with a prescribed number of sessions from their provider. Session frequency varies by person, but below are some general recommendations frequency of sessions from our partner physician Dr. Zayd Ratansi. We are happy to consult with you to find the right number of sessions to meet your goals and budget based on these general guidelines. If you or your physician have specific questions about an active condition, Dr. Rantansi is available for private consultation with you or your physician for an additional charge.

1-5 Sessions: General health and fitness

5-10 sessions: Acute injuries with soft tissue damage, particularly if there is pain involved or pre-and-post surgery.

10-20 sessions: More serious acute injuries

20-40 sessions: Chronic Illness, Concussion, TBI, Long term injury, Major tissue damages and when new tissue is required (through HBOT’s regenerative stem cell properties).

The 40-hour Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Protocol

The 40-Hour Protocol is the gold standard for many of the physiological benefits that have been observed with
hyperbaric oxygen therapy studies. However, the actual physiological benefits can still be seen in just a few sessions.

Many studies show* that daily applications of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, for as many as forty sessions, can have the best results in helping to gain full physiological benefits noted by HBOT, especially for serious or chronic conditions. During this protocol, it is not uncommon to have one to two sessions of HBOT per day. This protocol has been commonly adopted by many centers and shown to have excellent clinical outcomes*. Note, however, in order to reduce the chance of oxygen toxicity and to maintain HBOT’s high safety standards, a minimum four-hour break is mandatory between sessions.

Typically, five consecutive days of HBOT sessions are recommended, with a two-day rest period. With this protocol, a full 40 hours of hyperbaric oxygen therapy can be accomplished in one month (with twice daily applications) or two months (with one HBOT session daily).

If you are interested in a 40 or more hours, renting or rent to own allows you to complete your sessions in the comfort of your own home. Schedule a call today for current pricing and options.

The Power of Consistency

While a single session of HBOT can provide immediate benefits, repeated use is key to unlocking its full potential. Consistency allows the body to experience the cumulative effects of increased oxygenation and tissue regeneration, leading to improved wellbeing over time. Repeated use of HBOT can enhance energy levels, optimize sleep, and promote overall health and vitality.

Physiological Benefits of HBOT

  • The human body relies on a constant supply of oxygen to generate cellular energy, known as ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which is essential for all metabolic processes.

HBOT provides an extra dose of oxygen, facilitating increased energy production within the body's cells and tissues. This rise in cellular energy levels can combat the effects of aging, improve energy levels, and enhance overall tissue function.

Atherosclerosis, the narrowing and hardening of arteries, can significantly impact energy levels and overall well being. As blood vessels narrow, the flow and rate of oxygen decrease proportionately, leading to decreased energy levels and a general sense of fatigue.

HBOT has been shown to produce a significant rise in cellular energy levels, making it a valuable tool in combating age-related diseases and optimizing overall energy production. In damaged tissue, the additional oxygen provided by HBOT plays a crucial role in tissue repair and function. By supplying the "critical extra energy" needed for tissue repair,

HBOT supports the body's natural healing processes and enhances overall tissue function. Long-term benefits may include increased mitochondrial biogenesis, the production of new ATP sites within cells, further promoting energy production and cellular health.

  • HBOT has been widely recognized for its ability to regenerate tissue and promote the growth of new blood vessels. This process is essential for healing damaged areas and combating the degenerative effects of aging. The therapy stimulates fibroblast activation, the cells responsible for laying down collagen and essential for collagen production, promoting skin collagen and tissue regeneration.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy also stimulates stem cell mobilization, increasing the number of circulating stem cells in the bloodstream. These stem cells can then travel to various areas of the body where they are needed, aiding in tissue repair and regeneration. Additionally, HBOT has been shown to stimulate neurogenesis, the growth of new brain cells, following brain injuries or movement disorders.

HBOT not only speeds up the healing process but also enhances the strength and tensile properties of repaired soft tissue. This can be especially beneficial for athletes or individuals prone to re-injuries. The therapy activates the body's natural repair mechanisms, promoting tissue regeneration and functional recovery.

  • One of the key benefits of HBOT is its ability to reduce swelling and inflammation in the body. Following acute tissue injuries, blood vessels become "leaky," allowing white blood cells to pass through and aid in the healing process. HBOT helps alleviate swelling by facilitating the delivery of oxygen to the affected areas, promoting the resolution of inflammation and faster healing.

By reducing inflammation, HBOT can play a crucial role in various conditions, including chronic and non-healing wounds, brain injuries, heart attacks, diabetes, and the aging process. The therapy supports angiogenesis, the growth of new blood vessels, and vasculogenesis, the production of new blood vessels, to improve blood flow and enhance tissue healing.
